History of Our Club
VICTORI-A's HISTORY October 3, 1973 - Organized Victoria Chapter March, 1974 - Voted into Poor Boy Tours with
San Antonio, and Houston Model A clubs. July, 1975 - In memory of Gorman Prince, established the Gorman Prince
Award going to the person doing the most to restore his car. 1979 - Established a Participation Award to be given
annually to the woman and man receiving the highest number of participation points during the year. Model "A" Charm
for the woman and belt buckle for the man. December, 1992 - Established The Driver of the Year Award. Trophy
was designed and made by member Allen Maeker. April 8-10, 1994 - Hosted the 25th Anniversary Poor Boy Tour.
October, 1994 - In conjunction with the Luling and Austin Chapters, organized the Autumn A's Tour. June 3-6,
1999 - Hosted the 36th Annual Texas Tour in Victoria, Texas. The theme of Missions, Music and Model A's was carried out.The
first ever for Victoria Model'A'ers'
